After an early breakfast, drive to Arusha National Park and reach the Momella Gate (1,500m). Start the day early to embark on the steep hike towards the Saddle Hut (3,570m). Enjoy the clouds often hanging in the rainforest and dip the lush vegetation in a moody atmosphere. Arrive at ‘Mgongo wa Tembo’ (Elephant back) after approximately 2 hours, at an elevation of 3200m. Arrive at the Saddle Hut and take in panoramic views of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro, immersing yourself in an awe-inspiring Tanzania hiking adventure. In the afternoon, embark on an acclimatization hike to Little Meru (3,820 meters). This mountain trekking experience either in 2023, 2024 or 2025 will leave you breathless. Dinner and overnight at Saddle Hut.

Wake up around midnight to begin the final ascent towards the summit of Mount Meru (4,562m). Capture the breathtaking sunrise from the summit and celebrate your achievement. After 4 - 5 hours, Reach the summit and see the Tanzanian flag. From the summit, enjoy the sun rising above Kilimanjaro and the fantastic view of Mount Meru crater with its steep sides and the “Ash Cone” in the middle. Descend to the Saddle Hut for a rest and nourishing meal before continuing down to the Miriakamba Hut, Lunch, Dinner and Overnight at Miriakamba Hut.
Day 4 (2023, 2024, 2025) : Miriakamba Hut - Momella Gate

Have amazing breakfast, then 2-3 hour trek over the so-called ‘Northern Route’ back to Momella Gate. The descent is shorter than the ascent but still you have the chance to see elephants, buffalos, giraffes as well as the black and white Colobus monkeys. At the gate, bid farewell to your hiking crew. Then drive to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi , relishing in the satisfaction of an incredible Tanzania hiking challenge in 2023, 2024 or 2025. . This marks the end of enjoyabe 4 days Mount Meru Trekking.
