Day 1: Machame Gate - Machame Camp 2024, 2025, and 2026 - 6 Days Machame Route Kilimanjaro climbing
Your 6 Days Machame Route Kilimanjaro climbing in 2024, 2025 or 2026 begins at the Machame Gate (1,800m). As you enter the rainforest, you'll be surrounded by lush vegetation and diverse wildlife.
Hike for approximately 5-7 hours, covering 11km, until you reach Machame Camp (3,010m) where you'll spend the night. Enjoy the stunning views and take in the fresh mountain air.
Day 2: Machame Camp - Shira Camp 2024, 2025, and 2026 - 6 Days Machame Route
On this day the 6 Days Machame Route trail ascends steeply through the heather and moorland zone, offering panoramic vistas of the Shira Plateau.
Trek for about 4-6 hours, covering 5km, and arrive at Shira Camp (3,845m) for overnight camping. Acclimatization is essential at this stage as the altitude begins to increase significantly.
Day 3: Shira Camp - Barranco Camp 2024, 2025, and 2026 - 6 Days Machame Route
On the 6 Days Machame Route Kilimanjaro climbing, today's climb takes you to Barranco Camp (3,960m) via the Lava Tower (4,630m). This is an important acclimatization day,
as you'll experience high altitude and then descend to sleep at a lower elevation. The journey covers around 10km and takes 6-8 hours. Barranco Camp offers mesmerizing sunset views, setting the stage for an incredible night on the mountain.
Day 4: Barranco Camp - Barafu Camp - 6 Days Machame Route (2024-2026)
After breakfast, conquer the iconic Barranco Wall, a thrilling climb that rewards you with breathtaking vistas on the 6 Days Machame Route.
Climbing through the Karanga Valley (4,035m) and continue to Barafu Camp (3,995m) for overnight camping. This day covers about 5km and takes 4-5 hours.
Rest and prepare for the summit attempt.
Day 5:Barafu Camp - Uhuru Peak - Mweka Camp 2024, 2025, and 2026 - 6 Days Machame Route
The final ascent on the 6 Days Machame Route Kilimanjaro climbing tour begins in the early hours, aiming to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m) just before sunrise. The sense of achievement upon reaching the summit is indescribable.
After capturing the moment, begin the descent to Mweka Camp (3,100m) where you'll spend your last night on the mountain. The total climbing distance is approximately 14km, and it takes about 12-15 hours.
Day 6: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate and Departure 2024, 2025, and 2026 - 6 Days Machame Route
On the last day of your 6 Days Machame Route Kilimanjaro climb, descend through the rainforest to Mweka Gate (1,650m).
Bid farewell to your guides and fellow climbers, and receive your well-deserved Kilimanjaro summit certificate.
