This experience begins when our representative greets you at Kilimanjaro’s international airport and escorts you privately to your accommodation in Arusha at either Tulia Boutique Hotel with a bed and breakfast plan or Mount Meru Hotel with a similar meal plan. Following check-in and some relaxation, our safari manager will arrive for a comprehensive safari briefing, after which you can unwind and enjoy the serene lodge setting. The next morning, at the designated time, your safari driver-guide will meet you in the lobby, and after exchanging pleasantries, you will embark on your journey into the wilds of Tanzania.
On the first day of the migration safari, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and driven 260 kilometers (5.5 hours) to Ndutu. After two hours, the scenery shifts from wooded hills to vast grasslands as you enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy a picnic lunch and a half-day game drive in Ndutu. Thousands of zebras, antelopes, gazelles, and more than 2 million wildebeests use this area as a calving ground from December to April, which attracts predators. Ndutu Lake and other waterholes provide great opportunities to observe wildlife. Around 5:00 PM, you have dinner at your lodging to cap off the day.

The Ndutu region, within the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA), will be explored on a full-day game drive. Following the migration's location, whether in the NCA or Serengeti, you will witness the plains become calving grounds and nurseries from December to April. This season draws predators hunting young wildebeests, making for an unforgettable experience. The game drive ends around 5 PM, followed by dinner at your accommodation. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest unfilled, intact volcanic caldera, covering about 260 square kilometers with a depth exceeding 2,000 feet. A 5-hour game drive on the crater floor will reveal a wealth of wildlife, so keep your camera handy. Expect to see abundant African elephants, buffaloes, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions. After a picnic lunch by the scenic Hippo Pool, you will climb out of the crater and begin the 4-hour drive back to Arusha. By 6 PM, you’ll be dropped off at your chosen location in Arusha.
